The article reports a case of oral proliferative verrucous leukoplakia (OPVL) in a 76-year-old woman, underscoring how an otherwise inconspicuous white plaque lesion can rapidly turn into a phase of verrucous carcinoma and subsequently squamous cell carcinoma. (Quintessnece Int 2012;43:583-585)
