摘要：

Shall we invest in advanced manufacturing technology? The answer to this question seems to be obvious as manufacturing companies worldwide strive to maintain their competitiveness and advanced manufacturing technology is considered as one of the crucial factors that help to achieve the goal. Unfortunately, the results of our research shows that there are many problems associated with the advanced manufacturing technology utilization and some of them are strongly related to management attitudes towards new technology and strategic investment in general. We will also demonstrate that managers show rather reserved attitudes towards relevant projects. We will present here some proposals that could change the unfavorable situation and should allow much more advanced manufacturing technology projects to reach the stage of implementation and routine operation.
