摘要：
In this article we discuss the use of mobile agents for managing networks. Network management based on mobile agents solves the problems by centralized network management. The core of this article comprises descriptions a potential application of mobile agents in the three. OSI functional areas of network management:configuretion management,performance management and fault management. Finally, the article discussed the security of mobile agents.
