摘要
Rice weevil Sitophilus oryzae causes severe damages to stored rice and other cereals. Traditionally, in our rural villages, plant products of neem and vitex have been used to protect stored grains. Many studies have been made to ascertain the efficacy of other plants and their parts, oils and extracts, in controlling rice weevil Sitophilus oryzae. This paper summaries the findings arrived at in various research studies with regard to the use of plant products in controlling rice weevil Sitophilus oryzae.
