Self-assembly of γ-octamolybdate-based frameworks decorated by 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane through covalent bond

摘要
Two new octamolybdate-based coordination polymers constructed from Mo-N bond (Hbpp)(4)[Mo8O26(bpp)(2)]center dot 6H(2)O (1) and (H(2)bpp)(2)[Mo8O26(bpp)] (2) (bpp = 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane) were synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by elementary analysis, IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Both of the compounds are the first report of unique bisupported structure built from Mo-N bonds between [gamma-Mo8O26](4-) anions and bpp ligands, which come from environmentally friendly aqueous solutions and avoiding serious environmental problem. Compound 1 has 3D supramolecular framework based on hydrogen bonds between [gamma-Mo8O26(bpp)(2)] fragment, free bpp ligand and water molecules. Compound 2 contains [gamma-Mo8O26]-organic amine 1D chain by Mo-N bonds. The thermal stability and fluorescence properties of 1 and 2 were investigated in the solid state. (C) 2013 Elsevier B. V.
