摘要
In this paper, the research interest focuses on the influence of buffer configuration methods on the performance of a shared WDM optical buffer. In order to resolve FDL contention, which often occurs in a shared WDM optical buffer, two improved buffer configuration methods, i.e., duplicated degenerate mode (DDM) and increased degenerate mode (IDM) are proposed. The performances of the proposed buffer configuration methods are evaluated by simulation experiments.
