摘要
Based on hybridization between two bright modes with comparable bandwidth and detuning frequency, an EIT-like effect in terahertz regime is induced in a stacked metamaterial consisting of identical split-ring resonators. Coupled-oscillator model and slow light effect are introduced to demonstrate the validity of the EIT-like effect. In addition, the influence of lattice constants on hybridization process is presented to explain the physical origin and occurrence condition of the EIT-like effect. Results show that the EIT-like effect can only occur at some intermediate lattice constant, as the lattice constant is larger or smaller than above intermediate value, lattice-induced hybridized mode inversion will emerge. This research provides a new way to realize EIT effect, which is useful in slow-light devices.
