摘要
Considering the requirements of the National Solid Waste Policy (Politica Nacional de Residuos Solidos - PNRS), an important step in this achievement is the elaboration of the Municipal Plan of Integrated Solid Waste Management (Plano Municipal de Gestao Integrada de Residuos SOlidos - PMGIRS). Therefore, Part 1 of this paper proposed a tool to evaluate these plans consisting of four complementary indices: PMGI RS Service Index (Indice de Atendimento do PMGIRS - IAP), PMGIRS Quality Index (Indice de Qualidade do PMGIRS - IQP), PMGIRS Complexity Index, and PMGIRS Potential Index (Indice do Potencial do PMGIRS - IPP). The conception of the tool came from three stages. The first two were shown in part 1. In this article, the result of the third step, which consists of the application of the PMGIRS assessment tool in six Brazilian municipalities, is presented. The results show that the tool is consistent and allows the evaluation of PMGIRS and their related documents, such as municipal laws and decrees. Based on the evaluation, improvement points were identified and suggestions and recommendations to adapt them were presented. Likewise, the evaluation allowed the comparison and analysis of the four indices, exposing aspects that should be considered for their correct comparison. A guide to the proper PMGIRS assessment procedures has also been presented in this article.
