摘要
The pollution of laundry wastewater is dependant on the origin of linen, soil degree of linen and the laundering process. It is caused by dissolved organic and inorganic substances, as well as sedimented and toxic substances. In this research the possibility of laundry wastewater treatment in a moving bed biofilm reactor was examined as this method has not yet been tested for laundry wastewater. From the results within a day it is obvious that the highest achieved elimination was 12.7 g/m(2) for COD, and 6.8 g/m(2) for TOC at a 50 % loading rate with carriers and hydraulic retention time of 2.8 h. The research has shown that the moving bed biofilm process enables good treatment results for carbon components in laundry wastewater at the chosen operating conditions.
