摘要：

Ceramic matrix composites. This paper introduces ceramic matrix (and carbon matrix) composites within the family of composite materials. Ceramic matrix composites exhibit very interesting properties which make them attractive as structural components in several industrial systems at high temperatures. Some emphasis is placed on 2D SiC matrix composites made via Chemical Vapor Infiltration (CVI), which have reached a high degree of development.
