Aiming to lure back post-pandemic travellers, some tourism-dependent countries are considering and implementing rapid changes in cannabis and gambling policies. On the one hand, this may reverse the downturn in tourism, but on the other hand, it is likely to lead to future health problems and addictive behaviours. © 2022 International Society of Travel Medicine.
