摘要
Dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous machines (DTP-PMSMs) are suitable for applications with high power rating and fault-tolerant capability. However, the interturn short circuit (ITSC) fault can occur in DTP-PMSMs due to the harsh work condition. In this paper, the ITSC fault model of DTP-PMSMs with two sets of windings shifted by 30 electrical degrees is presented based on the vector space decomposition (VSD) scheme. An online method is also proposed for the ITSC detection and localization utilizing the change of fundamental currents in the z1z2 subspace. The proposed method does not require additional equipment and avoids the effect of the current controller in the corresponding subspace. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the experimental results.
