摘要
The construction of modern states rests, among other things, on negotiation between monarchs and their subjects, whether in the framework of rebellions or through meetings in representative assemblies, in order to control the creation and collection of taxes. In this article we will examine four cases of dialogue between king and political community as a means of state-building in the late Middle Ages.
