摘要
We have synthesized the porphyrin TPPSS and studied its optical properties by using UV-visible and fluorescent spectroscopy. Based on this, a fluorescent sensor was developed for determining the concentration of cadmium metal ion and glucose in water. The detection limit of cadmium is 0.45 nM and glucose is 1.5 nM respectively. From the UV-visible and lifetime studies we observed that the decrease in the fluorescent intensity of the sensor in the presence of cadmium is due to the static quenching mechanism, whereas glucose is because of the dynamic quenching mechanism. Then applied this method to determine the concentration of glucose from urine sample.
