摘要
The objective of this study was to analyze the perceived physical literacy of high school students in northern Mexico. A Likert-type questionnaire (Sum et al., 2018) was applied to 2,487 schoolchildren (1,618 female and 869 male) through Google forms. The reliability of the questionnaire shows a Cronbach's alpha of (0.842). Men are perceived as having better attitudes and skills in sports, with greater confidence to participate in physical activities and being able to self-assess their health related to physical condition, than women. On the other hand, only 31.6% of those surveyed consider that they have the ability to function socially during physical and/or sports activities. High school students do not feel comfortable to practice physical and sports activities, as well as to function socially, according to the perceptions presented in this study, these results may be useful for physical educators to promote physical literacy in high school students.
