摘要
The present experiment was conducted in the shade house of the College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur during the session 2021-22 to study the vegetative growth and flower productivity of LA Hybrid lily cv. Nashville under different growing media. The experimental design was laid out in a Randomized Block Design with three replications and seven treatment combinations, viz. T-2-soil + farmyard manure (1:1; v/v), T-3 soil + peat (1:1; v/v), T-4- soil + vermicompost (1:1; v/v), T-5- soil + farmyard manure + peat (2:1:1;v/v), T-6- soil + peat + vermicompost (2:1:1; v/v), T-7- soil + farmyard manure + vermicompost (2:1:1; v/v) with control (T-1). Fresh and healthy bulbs of the cultivar were planted in the different media compositions and placed under the shade house. The experimental results showed that maximum plant height (61.53 cm), number of leaves per plant (49.20), leaf length (10.04 cm), leaf width (1.47 cm), days taken for bud formation (53 days), days taken from bud formation to flowering (24.80 days), days taken for wilting of flowers (10.47 days), buds per plant (2.33), bud diameter (2.10 cm), bud length (8.24 cm), stem length (41.53 cm), flowers per spike (2.33), size of flower (16.26 cm), flowering duration (11.80 days) and weight of stem (49.96 g) was observed with T-5- soil + farmyard manure + peat (2:1:1;v/v), wherever maximum stem diameter (0.86 cm) was observed with T-4-soil + vermicompost (1:1; v/v). Hence, among the different treatments, T-5 with soil + farmyard manure + peat (2:1:1; v/v) has a positive impact on vegetative growth and flower productivity of LA Hybrid lily cv. Nashville.
