摘要
This study examines L-PBF-fabricated aluminium alloy specimens with smooth and notched geometries, assessing their axial fatigue performance in both as-built and heat-treated conditions. The influence of the performed heat treatment on microstructure, production defects and fatigue properties was investigated on unnotched specimens and specimens with deep U-notch geometry. The experimental results revealed significant impact of heat treatment on the microstructure and internal defects, which resulted in an enhancement of fatigue properties of the specimens. Lastly, the fatigue results revealed a negligible impact of the employed heat treatment on the notch sensitivity of the studied materials.
