Rapid assessment method to assess vulnerability of structures using vulnerability index and disaster matrix

By integrating the vulnerability index of buildings, earthquake disaster matrix, and historical earthquake disaster data, the vulnerability of typical buildings and compounds in rural areas of China are analyzed. The disaster matrix of buildings in historical earthquakes was obtained by analyzing historical earthquake disaster data. By integrating the historical disaster matrix and vulnerability analysis of typical structures in rural areas, a seismic disaster matrix was established to assess the seismic performance of regional compounds. Combined with the historical earthquake disaster matrix and vulnerability index, the lognormal distribution function was used to analyze the vulnerability index of regional structures and compounds to obtain the disaster matrix of structures under different seismic intensities. Considering the structures and compounds in the rural areas in the Tianjin district as an example, the seismic vulnerability of typical structures was investigated. The regional structure disaster matrix of the study region was established and the vulnerability indices of different types of structures and compounds were obtained to clarify the regional disaster prevention ability.
