In the quest of exploring ecofriendly energy solutions, transparent photovoltaics (TPVs) have emerged as a promising innovation. TPVs harness sunlight to generate electricity while maintaining transparency, which makes them highly suitable for modern architectures. These TPVs represent a promising solution that bridges the gap between the growing demand for renewable energy and the modern societal expectations. This comprehensive review aims to emphasize the significance and potential of TPVs in pursuit of creating a greener and more sustainable future. The review is divided into three sections, each addressing specific facets of TPV technology, providing both a roadmap and a vision. It emphasizes the urgent need for environmentally acceptable energy sources in the rapidly changing world and provides readers with a thorough understanding of the current state of TPVs and their numerous applications. The challenges associated with TPV technology and its potentials are investigated, while its complexities are also explored. This highlights the critical role that TPVs play in shared commitment to a sustainable green future. The breakthrough of transparent photovoltaics and their pivotal role in sustainable energy solutions are discovered. The technology's potential applications and environmental significance, alongside the challenges and future prospects, are unraveled.
