摘要
Dual-wavelength lasers play an essential role across science and technology, in applications from laser isotope separation and interferometric measurements to optical frequency mixing and, especially, terahertz wave generation. Realizing compact devices for dual-wavelength lasers is critical for next-generation laser sources and systems, but the scarcity of large-emission-bandwidth materials creates a substantial challenge. We demonstrate a diode-end-pumped Yb:YAG dual-wavelength continuous-wave (cw) laser that generates simultaneous laser action at wavelengths of 1030 and 1048 nm in one beam. More than 1730 W output power for the dual wavelength is achieved at an incident pump power of 4100 W. The reported dual-wavelength laser is compact and simple, allowing substantial laser system design and facilitating more advanced applications. This work provides a useful platform for developing and increasing the accessibility of multiwavelength lasers.
