摘要
Due to its low cost, environmentally benign operation, and relatively high efficiency, dye -sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have garnered a great deal of scholarly attention. 1,3-disubstituted benzimidazolium salt derivatives are extremely important in the industry. From this premise, a new1,3-disubstituted benzimidazolium salt has been prepared stepwise (b). The efficiency of the prepared 1,3 -disubstituted benzimidazolium salt (b) was tested as an electrolyte in solar cells. The dye -sensitized solar cells with a nanoporous TiO2 working electrode were made using the 1,3-disubstituted benzimidazolium salt electrolyte and natural dyes pomegranate, beet and Curcumin pigments as a dye -sensitized solar cell (DSSC) and a counter electrode constructed from platinized glass. The 1,3-disubstituted benzimidazolium salt and the dye Curcumin in DMF as the solvent provide the best efficiency of 3.703% when compared to other dyes. The cells' fill factors (FF) were estimated to be higher than 0.54 and they displayed opencircuit voltages (Voc) of about 708 mV, short-circuit current densities (Jsc) of more than 5.23mA cm2, and open -circuit current densities (Voc) of over 5 mA cm2. In this study, we have effectively demonstrated the utility of natural dyes derived from pomegranate, beet, and curcumin pigment sensitizers for the production of inexpensive, environmentally acceptable DSSC.
