摘要
The mechanism of interaction between luminescent positively charged Carbon dots (CDs) and manganese di-oxide (MnO2) based optical probes and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) has been investigated. The optical probe has the mechanism of luminescence turn-off and on, which enables the detection of H2O2. MnO2 nanosheets can quench CDs luminescence due to spectral overlap between CDs emission and MnO2 absorption. As a result of the underlying detailed redox reaction mechanism, the initial quenched probe exhibits luminescence activation upon exposure to H2O2 solution. The quenched probe begins to regain the luminescence that increases as the con-centration of H2O2 increases (0.1-12 mu M). The Johnson-Mehl-Avrami-Kolmogorov model was used to investigate the luminescence turn-on mechanism further.
