摘要
The spotted lanternfly (SLF), Lycorma delicatula White, is native to Asia where it is not a pest. However, it has caused serious damage and economic loss after invading South Korea and the USA. Nowadays it is regarded as a worldwide invasive pest that threatens many crops and trees, especially grapes. In this review we have summarized the biology and ecology of this pest covering its taxonomy and morphology, current and potential distribution and the drivers of its spread, and its biology, behavior and host plants. We also reviewed the economic losses due to this pest invasion and management strategies including quarantine and biocontrol. This information will assist government and landowners to develop effective management strategies and mitigate the loss of agricultural production.
