摘要
Purpose: To identify the availability and content of continuing education available for Canadian physiotherapists on work-focused care and work-related factors.Method: An environmental scan was conducted to identify the availability and the content of continuing education on work-focused care and work-related factors. Information was collected through an online search. Data from the continuing education courses retrieved from the search were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods and qualitative content analysis.Results: Twelve continuing education courses were retrieved. These courses mainly discuss work-related elements from the clinical encounter, the workplace, and the return-to-work process.Conclusions: Limited continuing education on work-focused care and work-related factors is available to Canadian physiotherapists. Objectif : determiner la disponibilite et le contenue de la formation continue offerte aux physiotherapeutes canadiens sur les soins axes sur le travail et les facteurs lies au travail.Methodologie : les chercheuses ont procede a une analyse environnementale pour etablir la disponibilite et le contenu de la formation continue sur les soins axes sur le travail et les facteurs lies au travail. Elles ont recueilli l'information au moyen d'une recherche en ligne et ont analyse les donnees tirees des cours de formation continue ainsi obtenues a l'aide des methodes quantitatives descriptives et d'une analyse de contenu de nature qualitative du contenu.Resultats : les chercheuses ont extrait douze cours de formation continue, qui traitaient surtout des elements lies au travail decoulant de la rencontre clinique, du milieu de travail et du processus de retour au travail.Conclusions : Les physiotherapeutes canadiens disposent de peu de possibilites formation continue sur les soins axes sur le travail et les facteurs lies au travail.
