摘要
This article explores the application of lean manufacturing philosophy in maintenance management, highlighting the importance of eliminating waste and increasing operational efficiency, and improving the quality of maintenance processes, the main tools used are Kaizem, 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), just in time, and continuous improvement. It is concluded that the adoption of lean in maintenance management can bring tangible benefits, such as greater efficiency, cost reduction and increased reliability of industrial processes. This study highlights the importance of considering lean approaches in the maintenance sector, aiming to improve the productivity and competitiveness of the industry as a whole. With the need to improve maintenance processes, we seek to plan and improve activities in order to obtain a quality product satisfying customers and company employees, obtaining satisfactory results for both parties. It is noted that companies usually enter a vicious cycle of failures, where only corrective actions are applied by the maintenance teams, whether due to lack of adequate planning or lack of available time, personal or financial resources. Thus, the failures found need not only correction, but further investigative measures that make it possible to determine the root cause to promote actions that block a new occurrence of the studied failure. Therefore, the work aims to collaborate, via the state of knowledge, in the reflection and understanding of how much Lean Manufacturing is applicable in maintenance management.
