Interactive Post-Narrativism: From Digital History to Hypermedia History

We begin with the post-narrativist philosophy of historiography elaborated by the theorist of history Jounni-Mati Kuukaanen in his homonymous work and develop an interpretation through the use of computer media and hypermedia content. Through a conversation between different theorists of the historical profession and the deployment of numerous examples, we have elaborated a series of arguments in favor of the development of historical discourse using interactive images and other elements present in computer media such as the Internet, the video game, the digital databases or the virtual reconstruction of past spaces. At the same time, we highlight the problems and limitations that this visual, interactive and hypermedia historical discourse entails.
