摘要
In this paper, we deal with both the static and dynamic behavior of uniform beams with uncertain boundary conditions. Uncertainty in spring constants is modeled as intervals, with specified lower and upper bounds. It is demonstrated that the classical interval analysis may lead to overestimation in the natural frequencies. A method is suggested to overcome the overestimation and obtain sharp bounds.
