摘要
The common media application format (CMAF) is an HTTP-based live streaming standard that enable low-latency streaming. However, exisiting bandwidth estimation method for adaptive bit rate is not accurate due to that the download time includes not only network bandwidth but also the idle times between chunks in a segment. In this paper, we propose an extended chunk-grouping method for low-latency HTTP-based live streaming. The proposed method adaptively changes the time to delay a request based on the risk of re-buffering. We show that the proposed method can significantly increase the average bit rate at the expense of minimal rebuffering time.
