Facile biosynthesis of a multifunctional α-Fe2O3 supported graphene nanocomposite for sustainable photodegradation of Rhodamine B

摘要
In this work, the alpha-Fe2O3 Nanoparticles was biosynthesized using medicinal characteristic W. Tintoria leaf biomolecules. Through Hummer's method, the Graphene Oxide (GO) has been prepared and further it was modified as reduced form of graphene (rGO) via chemical free (500 degrees C) of thermal treatment. At different ratios (1:3), (2:3) and (3:3) of NC's was synthesized by facile sonication method. XRD outcomes show that the single phase of rhombohedral structured alpha-Fe2O3 has been well coordinated with (002)'s graphene orientation. Interestingly, a well particles distribution and uniformities was attained by this one pot biosynthesis. Notable, the curved spherical nanoparticles were regularly coordinated between and upon the thin layered graphene sheets. And, the UV-Visible outcomes show that (C = C) sp(2) (pi - pi*) transition along with higher alpha-Fe2O(3) optical absorption due to good interfacial association. From the FT-IR and XPS investigations, the radical generative poly-phenol biomolecules interactions have been observed as C-O-Fe, C-OH/C-O-C, and Fe-O with in rGO. The bandgap of NC's was expanded towards 2.5 eV after alpha-Fe2O3 incorporation, which was favorable E-g for visible photon capture from sunlight. The (2:3) NC's can degrade 99.53 % of dye, which is higher other NC's. Advantageously, the Phyto-derived hydroxyl groups was supportive for free radical generations. After reusing the NC's about five cycles, it can also effectively eliminates RhB dye. This NC's has proven to be an applicable for disintegrate organic dye from effluent.
