ON, the Intimate French Pronoun. What the Use of Pronouns Says about the Health of the Suffering

Public authorities are now concerned not only with the health of citizens but also with their intimate health, as demonstrated by the current media coverage of public health discourses on the various possibilities of online. The boundaries between private and public, or between the intimate and the public, are becoming porous, since a large part of our sociolinguistic relations are constructed via the digital medium. Therefore, this work intends to examine the link between the textual genre and the intimate discourse of health from and around the use of the pronoun on, in order to bring out the differences and/or specificities imposed by the genre and to observe whether or not the chat and the email, as linguistic practices emanating from a suffering ethos, reflect the different textualities that on highlights.
