The acceptability of a democratic nationality in the gradual model of citizenship of Javier de Lucas

The article highlights the contribution that Javier de Lucas has made to the opening of the discipline of Philosophy of Law to the political problems of our legal conceptions anchored in a static and excluding nationality model and the need to rethink them in the crossing of borders that represent migratory movements. However, the paradox arises that his proposal for an open, inclusive and multilateral citizenship remains, as a matter of principle, linked to a project of denationalization of citizenship, obviating the possibility of thinking of a democratic and not exclusionary model of nationality, that would be, in this author's opinion, the most coherent proposal with his political conception of integration and his gradual conception of citizenship.
