摘要
Porous boron nitride (BN) materials are getting an increasing interest because of their outstanding features and a variety of applications. In recent years, nanoarchitectonics concepts has immerged to expand the physicochemical behavior, such as morphology, porosity, and functionality, as well as prospect of BN-based materials in environmental remediation. This review summarized the synthesis of porous BN-based materials with a variety of BN structures from 0D to 3D and functionality. Here, we emphasize up-to-date information on the synthesis methods of porous BN and their application perspectives in the studies of water purification via adsorption of hazardous organic (e.g. dyes, pharmaceutical, and oil droplet molecules) and toxic inorganic (e.g. heavy metal ions) pollutants from their aqueous solutions. This paper would helpful to comprehend the interactions mechanisms of pollutants with the BN-based adsorbents, which might be beneficial for further improvement of adsorption technology for environment remediation using BN-based materials.
