摘要
Purpose: One of the biggest problems encountered in high-rise buildings is long evacuation times. With the increasing number of floors, the lengthening evacuation route makes evacuation difficult. In this study, the issue of evacuation by elevator, which has been discussed and researched for many years in the evacuation of high-rise buildings, is examined.Theory and Methods: In the study, 5 different scenarios modeled. It was examined to what fraction of the occupants of each floor should use the stairs and elevators to reach the shortest evacuation time. In 5 different scenarios, occupants are assigned to use elevators and stairs in 25% increments. Results: As a result of the simulation, it was observed that the shortest evacuation time was reached when 25% of the occupants on each floor evacuated the building using the elevator and the remaining 75% using the stairs. With this scenario, 18% shorter evacuation time was achieved compared to the scenario which all occupants use the stairs. Conclusion: It has been observed that the evacuation time can be reduced by 18% with the use of elevators in the evacuation of Is Tower. A longer evacuation time was observed in the elevator-only scenario compared to the staircase-only scenario. The reason for this is that the handling capacity of the stairs of the building is lower than the handling capacity of the elevators. The Round Trip Time should be considered when designing the elevator layout for the upper and lower floors of the building. It has been observed that locating the stair and elevator lobbies together has the effect of extending the evacuation time
