Enhancing Aqueous Zinc-Ion Battery Performance through Structural Modification of Hydrated Vanadate with Lanthanum

摘要
Cycling stability and low carrier mobility of hydrated vanadium oxide (VOH) are increased by altering the local atomic environment with chemically preinserting trivalent La-ions during hydrothermal synthesis. Rapid electron transfer and Zn2+ diffusion are made possible by the enlarged lattice spacing and reduced electrostatic attraction force between zinc ions and host crystal in LaVOH, which results in a high capacity of 410 mAh g(-1) at 500 mA g(-1) and improved long-term cycling stability at 4000 mA g(-1) in comparison to VOH with a capacity retention of over 80% over 3000 cycles. La-ion introduction impacts and plays a role in preventing structural degradation and in encouraging the succeeding electrochemical process.
