Manifestation of the electric dipole moment in the decays of τ leptons produced in e plus e- annihilation

CP-odd asymmetries in the processes e thorn e- -> tau thorn pi- nu tau, e thorn e- -> pi thorn tau- nu over bar tau, e thorn e- -> tau thorn rho- nu tau, e thorn e- -> rho thorn tau- nu over bar tau, e thorn e- -> tau thorn e-nu tau nu over bar e; and e thorn e- -> tau-e thorn nu e nu over bar tau are investigated with account for longitudinal polarization of electron (or positron) beam. These asymmetries are a manifestation of electric dipole form factor F tau 3 equivalent to b in the gamma tau thorn tau- vertex. It is shown that to measure Imb in the specified processes, polarization is not needed, while to measure Reb it is required. The processes e thorn e- -> pi thorn pi- nu tau nu over bar tau, e thorn e- -> e thorn e-nu tau nu over bar tau nu e nu over bar e, e thorn e-->mu thorn mu-nu tau nu over bar tau nu mu nu over bar mu, e thorn e- -> mu thorn e-nu tau nu over bar tau nu mu nu over bar e, and e thorn e- -> mu-e thorn nu tau nu over bar tau nu e nu over bar mu are also discussed for the case of unpolarized electron and positron beams. In the latter cases it is possible to measure Reb using the differential cross section over momenta of both registered particles.
