摘要：

Dyslipidemia is a significant risk factor in the development and progression of ASCVD, ultimately contributing to adverse cardiovascular outcomes. In recent years, the para-digm has shifted from treating LDL-C targets to a focus on overall ASCVD risk factor reduction. Despite a well-rounded arsenal of pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic therapies to reduce LDL-C and ASCVD, treatment application challenges still exist. The management of dyslipidemia is best approached through a multidisciplinary team-based model of care, including registered nurses. Because research continues to rapidly progress and novel therapeutics become readily available for the manage-ment of dyslipidemia, nurses need to stay abreast of the rapidly changing treatment landscape. Nurses and other clinicians can significantly impact cardiovascular risk by practicing in a systematic, guideline-directed manner.
