摘要
A multi-band antenna based on rectangular patch, and split ring resonator shaped structure operates at 1.25 GHz, 3.55 GHz, and 5.28 GHz for GPS, Sub-6 GHz 5G and WLAN applications, respectively is proposed. The proposed antenna offers return loss of -21.07 dB, -22.44 dB, and -18.60 dB at the resonance with impedance bandwidth of 0.03 GHz, 0.05 GHz, and 0.29 GHz and VSWR of 1.19, 1.16, and 1.27 for desired applications bands, respectively. The proposed antenna offers a gain of 2.97 dBi, 5.36 dBi, and 4.87 dBi with a radiation efficiency of 42%, 94.7%, and 96.3% for intended bands, respectively. The proposed antenna is fed by a coaxial probe and physical dimension of 100x100x3.175 mm(3) size. The antenna is designed on Rogers AD255C substrate. Characteristic mode analysis is carried out to identify radiating modes based on modal significance, characteristic angle, and eigenvalue. The reported antenna offers a linear polarized radiation patterns, simple structure, appropriate gain, and radiation efficiency making it suitable for desired applications for 5G enabled devices.
