Improvement actions in student teacher bachelor's degree based on Saber 11, Saber Pro results, and student characteristics. The case of the student teacher of Music from a university in a southwestern Colombian region

摘要
The Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education (ICFES) publishes data from the Saber tests and characteristics of the students who took the tests; however, there are limited research studies that link this information. This study aimed to statistically explore data from the Saber Pro and Saber 11 tests to develop improvement actions for a Music Education Program at a university in the southwestern region of Colombia, considering teachers' proposals. First, significant relationships and differences between the results of the tests, obtained by 21 students in the Music Education Program, and their personal, family, socioeconomic, and academic characteristics were explored. Then, the information was presented to Program teachers, and their perceptions and improvement proposals were collected. Finally, the data were integrated, and recommendations were developed. The study's results show significant differences when grouping students' scores based on their characteristics. It also reveals differences and strong correlations between both tests, projecting improvement actions related to student characterization, content and competency alignment, and the role of the Program Coordinator as a data analyst.
