摘要
To improve the stability and biological properties of curcumin, its & beta;-diketone is replaced with pharmacologically stable monoketo moiety to yield monocarbonyl analogs of curcumin. In this study, a series of monocarbonyl-curcumin conjugated hybrid analog of curcumin were synthesized using Huisgen cycloaddition 1,3 dipolar addition reaction between an azide and alkyne. The antioxidant activity of compounds was tested using 2,2-diphenylpicrylhydrazyl and ABTS methods. The antibacterial activities were evaluated against bacterial strains Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
