摘要
In this paper, a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor built on bimetallic layers of Silver, BaTiO3, and transition metal dichalcogenide material (MoS2/MoSe2/WS2/WSe2) are proposed. The proposed SPR biosensor is based on the attenuated total reflection (ATR) method and relies on the Kretschmann configuration to examine the performance parameters. Sensitivity, quality factor, full width at half maximum, and detection accuracy have all been numerically evaluated and assessed concerning the performance of the proposed SPR biosensor. The numerical investigation reveals the proposed biosensor structure has a much better sensitivity than the conventional structure. It has been found that by optimizing the structure with two metallic silver layers of 50 nm and 10 nm thickness, five layers of MoS2 (each of 0.4 nm), and a monolayer of BaTiO3 (5 nm), attained the highest sensitivity is 446 degree/RIU. The findings will pave the way for a novel heterostructure-based SPR biosensor for gas and biological sensing in the visible region.
