摘要
Human eyes maintain visual function by adapting to changes in brightness. There are two types of adaptation to changes in brightness. Light and dark adaptations occur when the surroundings become bright and dark, respectively. Human eyes cannot adapt immediately when brightness changes rapidly. Therefore, a decline in visual function and accidents can occur when entering and exiting places, such as tunnels and buildings. In this study, we proposed a wearable device that supports light/dark adaptation when brightness changes rapidly. The proposed device controls the brightness of the field of vision using LEDs and light-shielding films. Evaluation results showed that the recovery time of visual function was significantly faster with the support of light/dark adaptation using our system than without any support.
