摘要
It is always a hot topic to find alternative fuel for diesel. Pentanol is a potential alternative fuel for diesel. In this study, different volume ratios of fuel were obtained by adding pentanol to diesel. On the high-pressure common rail experimental platform, the spray processes of pure diesel and diesel-pentanol blends were observed and analyzed, and the differences of radial diffusion capability between different experimental fuel sprays were evaluated. The maximum radial diffusibility was analyzed through the maximum width and the maximum width corresponding to the axial position. The radial diffusion capacity of the whole was analyzed by means of the average width and spray cone angle, and the area of the gas entrainment area was analyzed. The results showed that the addition of pentanol enhanced the radial diffusion ability and gas entrainment ability of diesel sprays.
