摘要
This article investigates the three-scale mechanical response and damage progression of woven composite laminates by probabilistic progressive damage analysis. Micro-scale, meso-scale, and macro-scale stochastic finite element models of woven composite laminates were established to consider the random fiber distribution in yarns and stochastic nature of material properties. Based on Monte-Carlo method, three-scale probabilistic progressive damage model was proposed to predict damage progression and probabilistic distribution of strengths for woven composite laminates. Good agreement between the predictions of elastic properties and strengths and experimental results has been achieved, demonstrating the validity of proposed three-scale probabilistic progressive damage model.
