I am interested in analyzing the lesbian love of children and adolescents in the novel La insumisa and the short story "Tristan e Isolda", both by Cristina Peri Rossi. In order to accomplish this, I start by summarizing part of the theory of affection and its implications in Latin America. Then I proceed to analyze the concepts of adult subalternization, precedent and intersectionality, which I apply in the textual analysis of characters and narrators in relation to the Uruguayan/Spanish author. This analysis aims to understand the narrative strategies that Peri Rossi uses to propose her vision of love as a hegemonic discourse that must be reviewed; but also as an affection linked to lesbian desire, which makes possible to resignify this complex emotion in the literary text.
