Light and visibility: a reflection on the process of visual perception, from light to the eye and from the eye to the brain

This article aims to describe the fundamentals of visual perception, from light to the eye and from the eye to the brain, that is, from the source of light to visual sensation, seeking to analyze, with a simple and direct communication, the nature of light, the morphology of the eyes and the characteristics and properties of vision, until reaching the process of visual perception as a creative act, instituting the notion of visuality. Finally, it describes stage lighting as an element of orchestration of visualities in the performing arts.
