摘要
This review paper presents an assessment of the recent advancements in utilizing cobalt ferrite nanoparticles (CoFe2O4 NPs) as an antimicrobial agent. These NPs exhibit distinctive properties that position them as a potential solution for combating a diverse range of microbial infections, particularly antibiotic-resistant strains. The paper encompasses a comprehensive examination of the synthesis methods, characterization techniques, and various applications of CoFe2O4 NPs in antimicrobial contexts. Moreover, the review delves into the underlying mechanisms through which CoFe2O4 NPs act against different microbial strains, while also addressing the challenges and future prospects in this domain. The key findings of this review underscore the considerable potential of CoFe2O4 NPs as an efficient and promising antimicrobial agent. However, it is essential to conduct further research to optimize their activity and tackle concerns related to toxicity and biocompatibility. By quantifying the abstract's essential aspects and reporting crucial results, this review contributes to the understanding and potential utilization of CoFe2O4 NPs as a viable approach to combat microbial infections.
