摘要:
The aim of this research is to study the quantitative and qualitative episodic memory performance of children with ADHD on both the quantitative and qualitative sides. Thirty children with ADHD and 29 typically developing children, aged between 8 and 12 years, were assessed using two memory tests: a word list and a figure list. The Wechsler Intelligence Scale, 5th edition, attentional, executive, and learning tests have also been proposed in order to carry out correlational data. Children in the ADHD group have poorer encoding, storage and retrieval skills, especially regarding auditory-verbal information. During their auditory-verbal recalls, these children appear to be more prone to producing intrusions (i.e., information not presented during encoding). Recall is also of lower quality. Difficulties with attention, inhibition and learning are correlated with their poorer performance in episodic memory.
