摘要：

Rosa yangii, a new species from northwest Yunnan, China, is described and illustrated. Morphological analyses to compare it with the most similar species, R. gigantea, found distinguishing features including flower colour, bract shape and stipule margins. Its phylogenetic position, karyotype, and conservation status are discussed and an identification key to Rosa sect. Chinenses is presented.
