A short evaluation of simultaneous corrosion fretting fatigue behaviors in piston aluminium-silicon alloys considering effects of nano-particles and heat-treating

摘要
This article has studied the corrosion fretting fatigue (CFF) properties of piston aluminum alloy. In addition, the impact of heat treatment and the nano-clay reinforcement on the CFF lifetime has been investigated. Further-more, the CFF fracture behavior has been studied by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The CFF tests showed the nano-composites have the fewest CFF lifetime, while the base material and the heat-treated alloy showed the same CFF behavior.
