Systematic Review of Immigration Detention as a Process that Triggers Multiple Human Rights Violations

The aim of this text is to provide a systematic review (meta analysis) of the approaches, methodologies and findings of the different studies that various actors have carried out on immigration detention in Mexico, in order to identify new alternatives for understanding and showing the problem of the violation of human rights in detention and to generate new and better channels of communication between those who denounce such acts and those who are obliged to protect these rights. The main findings show that a line of research that has not been centrally addressed deals with the condi-tions of custodians and guards in the Migration Stations, both in terms of working conditions and the obligation to follow instructions and knowledge of regulations and norms that regulate their activities.
